Allow the test Cassette, specimen, buffer, and/or controls to
equilibrate to room temperature (15-30 °C) prior to testing.
1. Remove the test cassette from the foil pouch and use it as soon
as possible. Best results will be obtained if the assay is
performed within one hour.
2. For Serum/Plasma:
a. Collect fresh whole blood, and separate serum or plasma from
blood as soon as possible to avoid hemolysis. Do not leave the
specimens at room temperature for prolonged periods. Serum and
plasma specimens may be stored at 2-8 °C for up to 3 days. For long
term storage, specimens should be kept below -20 °C.
b. Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 1 drop of sample
(approximately 40 μL) and immediately add 2 drops of buffer
(approximately 80 μL) into the specimen well(S), then start the
timer.
For feces:
a. Collect fresh feces with swab provided. The amount of fecal swab
as follows:
b. Insert the wet swab into the plastic tubes with buffer. Agitate
it to assure good sample extraction.
c. Transfer 3 drops of extraction sample (approximately 120 μl)
into the sample well.
3. Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 15 minutes is
only considered as reference.
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
Positive: The presence of both C line and T line, regardless of T line being
strong or faint.
Negative: Only clear C line appears.
Invalid: No colored line appears in C region, regardless of T line’s
appearance.
